Melissa A, Southeast/East Director
Melissa has been working with at risk teens for seven years. She is trained in Handle with Care, CPR/First Aid, and de-escalation techniques. She has worked with juvenile delinquent girls in a long-term treatment facility in Arizona as a case worker and addiction specialist. She is certified substance abuse professional, spending two years teaching chemical dependency and relapse prevention classes. Melissa attended G.R.E.A.T (Gang Resistance and Education Training) in New Mexico and has worked with hundreds of teens in gangs leaving that lifestyle and learning self-worth and life skills. She is currently working towards her masters in social work at the University of Alabama and raising her two year old son. She carries a fingerprint clearance card and BHT certification. Melissa has a passion for working with teens and loves the challenge of helping teens realize their worth and getting excited about life again. |
